Thomas N. was born on November 10th, 1846 in Perry Co., TN. Thomas N.'s father was David Hugh Mikels and his mother was Marguerite Minerva Swiney. His paternal grandparents were David Hugh Michael and Lucinda Doty. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Moses Loren, William Dodson, David Hugh, John C., Susan, Nancy J. and Bethany Louisa. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 82 on April 3rd, 1929 in MO.General Notes
