Joseph Kern 
Joseph was born on October 18th, 1773 in Whitehall, Lehigh, PA. Joseph's father was Peter Kern and his mother was Catherine Deshler. His paternal grandparents were Johann Georg Kern and Catherine Elizabeth Trauthager; his maternal grandfather was Adam Sr. Deshler and his maternal grandmother is Appolonia Mulholland. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Jonas, Peter, Daniel, Thomas, Suzanna, Juliana and Salome. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 52 on January 4th, 1826 in Hamburg, Berks Co., PA.General Notes
