Jonas Kern 
Jonas was born on December 31st, 1779 in Lehigh Co., PA. Jonas' father was Peter Kern and his mother was Catherine Deshler. His paternal grandparents were Johann Georg Kern and Catherine Elizabeth Trauthager; his maternal grandfather was Adam Sr. Deshler and his maternal grandmother is Appolonia Mulholland. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Joseph, Peter, Daniel, Thomas, Suzanna, Juliana and Salome. He was the fourth oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 49 on July 2nd, 1829 in Lehigh Co., PA.General Notes
