Edith was born on November 15th, 1736 in Cane Creek, Henrico, VA. Edith's father was Strangeman+ Hutchins and her mother was Elizabeth+ Cox. Her paternal grandparents were Nicholas+ Hutchins and Mary+ Holmes Watkins; her maternal grandparents were Richard+ Cox and Mary+ Trent. She had four brothers and six sisters, named John, Nicholas+, Thomas, Benjamin, Mary, Elizabeth, Obedience, Jane, Millicent and Lydia. She was the second oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 59 on June 22nd, 1796 in Deep Creek, Surry, NC.General Notes
