Stephen Hobson 
Stephen was born on February 15th, 1763 in (Chatham), NC. Stephen's father was Stephen+ Hobson and his mother was Anne+ Barnes. His paternal grandparents were George+ Hobson and Hannah Elizabeth+ Kinneson; his maternal grandparents were Brinsley+ Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Barry+ Lindley. He had four brothers and a sister, named George, David, Silas+, John and Ann. He was the oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, Jacob, Benjamin, Isaac, Mary, Rebecca Jane and Deborah. He died at the age of 40 on August 26th, 1803 in Hillsborough, Orange Co., NC.-
