George Hobson 
George was born on February 27th, 1765 in Pittsboro. Chatham Cty., NC. George's father was Stephen+ Hobson and his mother was Anne+ Barnes. His paternal grandparents were George+ Hobson and Hannah Elizabeth+ Kinneson; his maternal grandparents were Brinsley+ Barnes and Sarah Elizabeth Barry+ Lindley. He had four brothers and a sister, named Stephen, David, Silas+, John and Ann. He was the second oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Joseph, Jacob, Benjamin, Isaac, Mary, Rebecca Jane and Deborah. He died at the age of 80 on June 9th, 1845 in Pittsboro, Chatham Cty., NC.General Notes
