Amos Hiatt 
Amos was born on July 28th, 1778 in Guilford, NC. Amos' father was Christopher Hiatt and his mother was Lydia Beals. His paternal grandparents are George Hiatt and Martha Wakefield; his maternal grandparents were John III Beals and Margaret Esther Hunt. He had nine brothers and two sisters, named Thomas Hadley, Nathan, Asher, Zadoc, John, Jehu, William, Mordecai, Christopher, Esther and Lydia. He was the fourth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 37 in 1815 in Grayson, VA.General Notes
