Overton Cosby

Overton was born in 1740 in Hanover Co., VA. Overton's father was David Cosby and his mother was Mary Garland Overton. His paternal grandfather was Charles Cosby and his paternal grandmother is Jane Meriwether; his maternal grandparents were James Overton and Elizabeth Garland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Charles, David, William, James, John, Elisabeth, Mary, Barbara Overton and Nancy Ann Overton. He was the fifth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 66 on November 23rd, 1806 in Urbana, Middlesex, Co. VA.
