James Cosby

James was born in 1734. James' father was David Cosby and his mother was Mary Garland Overton. His paternal grandfather was Charles Cosby and his paternal grandmother is Jane Meriwether; his maternal grandparents were James Overton and Elizabeth Garland. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Charles, David, William, Overton, John, Elisabeth, Mary, Barbara Overton and Nancy Ann Overton. He is the fourth oldest of the ten children.
