Clarissa Adeline was born on January 31st, 1852 in Paynesville, Pike Co., OH. Clarissa Adeline's father was Andrew* Ashbaugh and her mother was Margaret* McMillan. Her paternal grandparents were Andrew* Ashbaugh and Rachel* Wilkins; her maternal grandparents are William* McMillan and Sarah* Littlejohn. She had six brothers and seven sisters, named Anthony L., William Jasper, Henry Harrison, John Taylor, Thomas Andrew, James Taylor, Mary C., Louisa J., Sarah Ellen, Nancy Margaret, Martha Susan, Rachel Ann* and Alice Elizabeth.
