Andrew* was born on March 20th, 1775 in Baree Twp., Bedford Co., PA. Andrew*'s father was Frederick* Ashbaugh and his mother was Sophia* Sells. His paternal grandfather was Johann Heinrich Eschbach and his paternal grandmother is Maria Elizabetha Merck; his maternal grandparents were Anthony* Sells and Catherine* Schneider. He had five brothers and two sisters, named David, Thomas, William, Frederick Oliver, John, Susan and Catherine. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 48 on September 4th, 1823 in Larue, KY.General Notes
