John Ashbaugh

John was born on December 23rd, 1798 in Bardstown, Nelson, KY. John's father was Andrew* Ashbaugh and his mother was Rachel* Wilkins. His paternal grandparents were Frederick* Ashbaugh and Sophia* Sells; his maternal grandfather is John* Wilkins. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Frederick, Andrew*, Anthony, Henry, Sophia, Mary and Sarah Ann. He was the second oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 65 in 1863.
