Thomas was born on January 13th, 1336 in Stoke Albany, Northamptonshire, England.  Thomas' father was William de Ros and his mother was Margery de Badlesmere.  His paternal grandfather was Lord William de Ros II or III of Hamlake and his paternal grandmother is Maud de Vaux; his maternal grandparents were Baron Bartholomew de Badlesmere IV and Margaret de Clare. He had a sister named Elizabeth.  He was the younger of the two children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Robert, Payn and Margaret.  He died at the age of 48 on June 8th, 1384 in Uffington, Lincolnshire, England.

‌Thomas and Beatrice were married in a religious ceremony on January 1st, 1359.  They had two daughters named Margaret and Elizabeth.
