Rohese was born in 1067 in Tunbridge, Kent, England. Rohese's father was Earl Richard FitzGilbert de Clare and her mother was Rohese Giffard. Her paternal grandfather was Count Gilbert ("Crispin") of Brionne and her paternal grandmother is Constance de Eu; her maternal grandparents were Earl Walter Giffard I of Buckingham and Agnes Ermentrude Flaitel. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Robert, Osbern, Richard FitzRichard, Robert FitzRichard, Gilbert FitzRichard, Ronais, Avice and Adeliza or Ann. She was the second youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 54 in 1121 in England.-
