Joshua Shipley , Sr 
Joshua was born on March 23rd, 1793 in Sullivan Co, Tennessee.1 Joshua's father was Elijah Shipley , Sr and his mother was Rachel Elizabeth Kingston. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Shipley and Catherine Hawk. He had five brothers named Benjamin Franklin, Richard, Elijah, Adam and Caleb. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 67 on October 21st, 1860 in Sullivan Co, Tennessee.1 General Notes
