Adam Shipley 
Adam was born in 1798 in Sullivan Co, Tennessee.1 Adam's father was Elijah Shipley , Sr and his mother was Rachel Elizabeth Kingston. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Shipley and Catherine Hawk. He had five brothers named Benjamin Franklin, Joshua, Richard, Elijah and Caleb. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 82 in 1880 in Sullivan Co, Tennessee.1 General Notes
