Eli Wilson Shipley 
Eli Wilson was born on January 12th, 1817 in Sullivan Co, Tennessee.1 Eli Wilson's father was Benjamin Franklin Shipley , Sr and his mother was Catherine Wells. His paternal grandparents were Elijah Shipley , Sr and Rachel Elizabeth Kingston. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Orson, Endymion, Jesse, Zachariah, Benjamin Franklin, Mary, Malinda, Rachel, Nancy, Catherine, Sibila and Christina. He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 80 on February 12th, 1897 in Putnam Co, Tennessee.1 General Notes
