Stephen Pearl was born on February 13th, 1873 in Augusta, Ks. Stephen Pearl's father was Brantley Hadley Davis and his mother was Elizabeth Catherine Linch. His paternal grandparents were Ruel Rose Davis and Obedience Hobson; his maternal grandparents were Evan Jenkins Linch and Amanda Ann Baird. He had five brothers and a sister, named Charles Edgar, Fred Brantley, Orlando Evan, male child, male child and Julia Ellen Jane. He was the second oldest of the seven children.
