William Hobson 
William was born on April 18th, 1787 in Cane Creek, North Carolina.1 William's father was Stephen Hobson and his mother was Rachel Vestal. His paternal grandparents were Stephen Hobson and Ann Barnes; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Vestal and Elizabeth Davis. He had five brothers and two sisters, named David, George, Thomas, Stephen, Isaac, Anne and Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 57 on September 18th, 1844 in Surry County, North Carolina.1 General Notes
