Maud was born about 1310 in Castle,Badlesmere,Kent,England.  Maud's father was Bartholomew de Badlesmere , Lord Badlesmere and her mother was Margaret de Clare.  Her paternal grandparents were Guncelin Badlesmere and Joan le Strange; her maternal grandparents were Thomas De Clare Sir Knight and Julian FitzMaurice. She had a brother and three sisters, named Giles De, Margery De, Elizabeth De and Margaret.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died on May 24th, 1366 in Oxford,Oxfordshire,England.

‌Maud and John were married in a religious ceremony on March 24th, 1366 in Barony,Badlesmere,Kent,England.  They had two sons and two daughters, named John, Aubrey, Margaret and Elizabeth.
