Ela was born about 1191 in Amesbury,Wiltshire,England.  Ela's father was W (Earl of Salisbury) D'Evereux and her mother was Eleanor (Alianore) De Vitre.  Her paternal grandparents were Patrick Devereux Earl of Salisbury and Ela Talvaise; her maternal grandparents are Robert De Vitre and Emma Dinan. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Gilbert Malmaines, Ela and Joan de.  She died on August 24th, 1261 in Lacock,Wiltshire,England.  She was buried in Lacock Abbey,Lacock,Wiltshire,England.
