Matthias Leake Ayres 
Matthias Leake was born on December 11th, 1813 in Buckingham County, Virginia.1 Matthias Leake's father was John (Parson Jack) Ayres Rev. and his mother is Elizabeth Bransford. His paternal grandparents were Nathan Ayres Col. and Mary Christian Leake; his maternal grandfather was John II Bransford and his maternal grandmother is Judith Amonett. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John Bransford, Nathan "W", Samuel, Owen Million, Judith Leake, Mary Hales, Martha, Elizabeth F. and Elijah. He was the youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 39 on October 29th, 1853.2 -
