James Jefferson Keahey 
James Jefferson was born on December 17th, 1887 in Rockwall, Texas.1 James Jefferson's father was George Jefferson Keahey and his mother is Mary Jane Alexander. His paternal grandparents were John Robert Jackson Keahey and Martha Slay. He had a brother and a sister, named Joe and Mary. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John Henry, George Oscar, Vaden Scott, Jefferson, Mattie Catherine, Stella, Margaret Lenore and Mary.
