Jacob Leroy (Lee) was born on September 14th, 1849 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford Co., Tenn.1 Jacob Leroy (Lee)'s father was Samuel Braswell and his mother was Mary (Polly) W. Adams. His paternal grandparents were Sampson Braswell and Priscilla Williams; his maternal grandparents are Abraham Adams and Nancy Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Lemuel, Peter L., James Milton, Sampson, Alonzo, Abraham H., Martha, Cynthia J. and Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named William. He died at the age of 88 on December 4th, 1937 in Melissa, Collin Co., Texas.1 General Notes
