James Milton Braswell 
James Milton was born about 1843 in Tennessee.1 James Milton's father was Samuel Braswell and his mother was Mary (Polly) W. Adams. His paternal grandparents were Sampson Braswell and Priscilla Williams; his maternal grandparents are Abraham Adams and Nancy Unknown. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Lemuel, Peter L., Sampson, Jacob Leroy (Lee), Alonzo, Abraham H., Martha, Cynthia J. and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named William. He died about 1919 in De Kalb Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
