Addie Lena was born on June 28th, 1883 in Melissa, Collin Co., Texas.1 Addie Lena's father was Jacob Leroy (Lee) Braswell and her mother was Cordelia Quantrell Bogan. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Braswell and Mary (Polly) W. Adams; her maternal grandparents were William H. Bogan and Mary C. White. She had six brothers and two sisters, named Ernest C., Homer, Leslie R., Goldie, Clyde, Royse, Winnie Mae and Mary Edith. She was the oldest of the nine children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Willie M and Bessie. She died at the age of 106 on July 17th, 1989 in McKinney, Collin Co., Texas.1 General Notes
