Susan Elizabeth (Betty) was born about 1867 in Fannin Co., Texas.1 Susan Elizabeth (Betty)'s father was Francis Marion (Frank) Bassham and her mother was Louisa Lucretia (Lucy) Popnoe. Her paternal grandparents were Johnson Basham and Susan A. Unknown. She had six brothers and three sisters, named William Palestine (Bill), Henry Lansford, Edward Franklin (Edd), Leonard Lawrence, Sam Estes, Phinis Malcome, Arrie Ellen, Ethel Erie and Cora 'May' Seeley. She was the oldest of the ten children. She died about 1913.1 General Notes
