William Basham 
William was born about 1791 in Bedford Co., Virginia.1 William's father was Archibald Basham and his mother was Winna Jons. His paternal grandparents were James Basham and Mary Unknown. He had six brothers and a sister, named Nathaniel, James Monroe, Richard, Drury, Nathan, Robert S. and Nancy. He was the fourth youngest of the eight children. He died after 1840.1 General Notes
