Drury was born about 1796 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 Drury's father was Archibald Basham and his mother was Winna Jons. His paternal grandparents were James Basham and Mary Unknown. He had six brothers and a sister, named Nathaniel, James Monroe, Richard, William, Nathan, Robert S. and Nancy. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died about 1838 in Lawrence Co., Tennessee.1 General Notes
