Dionas M. (Donald) was born about December 1831 in Tennessee.1 Dionas M. (Donald)'s father was William Basham and his mother was Sarah Unknown. His paternal grandparents were Archibald Basham and Winna Jons. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Reuben, Johnson, Ezekial, John (Sequatchie), William F., James, William, Susan, Malinda, Rhoda and Martha Adeline.
