Sam Estes Bassham 
Sam Estes was born on December 2nd, 1881 in Texas.1 Sam Estes' father was Francis Marion (Frank) Bassham and his mother was Louisa Lucretia (Lucy) Popnoe. His paternal grandparents were Johnson Basham and Susan A. Unknown. He had five brothers and four sisters, named William Palestine (Bill), Henry Lansford, Edward Franklin (Edd), Leonard Lawrence, Phinis Malcome, Susan Elizabeth (Betty), Arrie Ellen, Ethel Erie and Cora 'May' Seeley. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 35 on March 12th, 1917.1 General Notes
