Clara Bell Basham 
Clara Bell was born on August 20th, 1898 in Ellison Ridge, Summers Co., W Va.1 Clara Bell's father was Robert Hugh Basham and her mother was Sarah Malinda Hatcher. Her paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Juliana Lydia Lilly; her maternal grandparents were John Edmund Charles Lewis Hatcher and Eliza Lilly. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Gracie May, Gilbert Ezra, Charles William, George Wesley (Twin), James Herford (Twin), Michael Fenton, Joseph Dale, Luther Bee, Sarah Marie, Bertha Lee, Nellie Rose, Elizabeth Lillian, Ruby Pearl and Edith Garnet. She was the fourth oldest of the fifteen children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Roy Lesley and Ada Ethyl. She died at the age of 82 on May 17th, 1981 in Marion, Williamson Co., Illinois. She was buried in Maplewood Cemetery.1 1 General Notes
