Charles William Basham 
Charles William was born on April 25th, 1900 in Ellison Ridge, Summers Co., W Va.1 Charles William's father was Robert Hugh Basham and his mother was Sarah Malinda Hatcher. His paternal grandparents were William Blane Basham and Juliana Lydia Lilly; his maternal grandparents were John Edmund Charles Lewis Hatcher and Eliza Lilly. He had eight brothers and six sisters, named Gracie May, Gilbert Ezra, George Wesley (Twin), James Herford (Twin), Michael Fenton, Joseph Dale, Luther Bee, Sarah Marie, Bertha Lee, Clara Bell, Nellie Rose, Elizabeth Lillian, Ruby Pearl and Edith Garnet. He was the fifth oldest of the fifteen children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Roy Lesley and Ada Ethyl. He died at the age of 77 on February 10th, 1978 in Columbus, Franklin Co., Ohio.1 General Notes
