Samuel Lancaster 
Samuel was born in 1840 in Georgia.1 Samuel's father was Lewis Wesley Lancaster and his mother was Louisa M. Bassett. His maternal grandparents were John Bassett and AGATHA Heard. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John William Bassett, Lewis Thomas S., James Floyd, Richard Lawson, Sarah J. L., Martha A., Nancy Mahala and Agatha L.. He was the second oldest of the nine children.1 -
