Nancy Mahala was born on April 25th, 1850 in Troup Co, Georgia.1 Nancy Mahala's father was Lewis Wesley Lancaster and her mother was Louisa M. Bassett. Her maternal grandparents were John Bassett and AGATHA Heard. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John William Bassett, Lewis Thomas S., James Floyd, Richard Lawson, Sarah J. L., Martha A. and Agatha L.. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 81 on March 18th, 1932 in Heard Co, Gerogia. She was buried in Salem Methodist Church, Heard Co, GA.1 1 -
