Lacy was born on December 27th, 1842 in Lawrence Co, Ohio.1 Lacy's father was Jacob Charles Grass and his mother was Lucy Ann McComas. His maternal grandparents were James McComas and Emily McComas. Lacy Grass had his mother Lucy Grass Burns widow of Isiah living with him
in the 1880 census. This Lucy has Jacob Grass age 82 and Jemenah Grass age 84
living with her in 1860. Lambert notes said he is son of Charles and Lucy
Grass. Chart of Edie Pafford said his father was Jacob Grass and mother was
Lucy Ann McComas Grass Burns. Apparently the marriage record had the name
Charles listed. It may be Jacob's middle name or just a clerical error.
