Annie was born on September 26th, 1776 in Fincastle Co, Virginia.1 Annie's father was MATTHEW H. French and her mother was SARAH Payne. Her paternal grandfather was JOHN C. FRENCH and her paternal grandmother is MARTHA FLINT; her maternal grandparents are JOHN PAYNE and SALLIE. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John S., James Wilburn, Isaac M., DAVID Edwin, Martha M. and Mary. She was the youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 74 on November 2nd, 1850 in Salt Rock, Cabell Co., West Virginia.2 -
