Sarah French 
Sarah was born in 1794.1 Sarah's father was John S. French and her mother was Obedience 'Bedy' Clay. Her paternal grandparents were MATTHEW H. French and SARAH Payne; her maternal grandparents were Mitchel Clay and Phoebe Belcher. She had nine brothers and five sisters, named Ezekiel, William Madison, Charles Clay, James, George Pearis, John L., St. Clair, Hugh Caperton, Austin, Anna, Orrie, Nancy, Rebecca and Obedience. She was the eighth oldest of the fifteen children. She died at the age of 86 in 1880.1 -
