Rose was born on April 20th, 1836 in Te Bardo, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1 Rose's father was Pierre Couvillon and her mother was Marionette Marie Mayeux. Her paternal grandparents were PIERRE Couvillon and *BRIGETTE Mayeux; her maternal grandparents were PIERRE Mayeux and MARIANNE Bordelon. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Baptiste, Pierre, Gregoire Horatio, Luc, Olivier, Augustin Pierre, Adrienne Arsene, Olive and Edvise. She had two half-brothers named Hypolite and Emile. She died about 1897 in Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. She was buried in St Mary's Cemetery, Cottonport, Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana.1 1 -
