His paternal grandparents were RICHARD Patton Bailey and ELIZABETH Anne Belcher. He had four brothers and two sisters, named James M., George C., Archibald, Masten, Martha and Rebecca. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died about 1871 in Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.1 -
