Martha was born about 1793 in Wythe Co., Virginia.1 Martha's father was John Payton Bailey and her mother was Nancy W. Davidson. Her paternal grandparents were RICHARD Patton Bailey and ELIZABETH Anne Belcher. She had five brothers and a sister, named Jonathan, James M., George C., Archibald, Masten and Rebecca. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died about 1854 in Tazewell Co., Virginia.1 -
