Tempa Thaxton

Tempa was born in 1894 in Sissonville, Kanawha, WV. Tempa's father was General Scott Thaxton and her mother was Nancy Emma Dawson. Her paternal grandparents were Franklin P Thaxton and Charlotte Lanham. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Russell, William C, James M, Isaac L., Ivey, Golda, Ruby, Inez and Glena. She is the fourth oldest of the ten children.
