James M Thaxton

James M was born in 1897 in Sissonville, Kanawha, WV. James M's father was General Scott Thaxton and his mother was Nancy Emma Dawson. His paternal grandparents were Franklin P Thaxton and Charlotte Lanham. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Russell, William C, Isaac L., Ivey, Tempa, Golda, Ruby, Inez and Glena. He is the fifth oldest of the ten children.
