Ivey Thaxton

Ivey was born in February 1893 in Kanawha Co.,West Virginia. Ivey's father was General Scott Thaxton and her mother was Nancy Emma Dawson. Her paternal grandparents were Franklin P Thaxton and Charlotte Lanham. She had four brothers and five sisters, named Russell, William C, James M, Isaac L., Tempa, Golda, Ruby, Inez and Glena. She was the third oldest of the ten children.
