Elmer Thaxton

Elmer was born about 1866 in Ohio. Elmer's father was James S. Thaxton and his mother was Mary Jane Ervin. His paternal grandparents were Sheppard Thaxton and Martha J. McCormick. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Oliver Perry, Franklin S., Ross, Albert O. "Bertie", Effie M., Alice, Marietta, Adeline and Nancy M.. He was the third oldest of the ten children.
