Gilbert was born about 1383 in Of, Blackemere, Harford, England. Gilbert's father was Richard TALBOT and his mother was Ankaret Le STRANGE. His paternal grandparents were Gilbert TALBOT and Petronella BUTLER (BOTELER); his maternal grandparents were John Le STRANGE and Mary (Isabel) FITZALAN. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Richard, John, Thomas, William, Mary, Miss, Alice and Anne. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died on October 19th, 1418.General Notes
