John B. was born on September 13th, 1822 in Clover Creek, Huston Twp., Blair Co., PA.1 John B.'s father was John Hoover and his mother was Elizabeth Brumbaugh. His paternal grandparents were Johann Adam HUBER and Catherine Kramer. He had two brothers and eight sisters, named George Brumbaugh, Isaac B., Catherine, Susannah, Elizabeth, Mary, Barbara B., Christina Brumbaugh, Annie and Esther. He was the second youngest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 73 on November 30th, 1895 in Clover Creek, Huston Twp., Blair Co., PA.
