Samuel Murphy Gannon 
Samuel Murphy was born in August 1850 in , Cannon, Tennessee.1 Samuel Murphy's father was Samuel P Gannon and his mother was Sussanah C Stacy. His paternal grandparents were George Gannon and Joanna Whitt; his maternal grandparents were William Stacy and Sarah HANES. He had six brothers and two sisters, named William Henry, George Newton, John C., Harry Andrew, Benjamin F, James Perry, Joanna Rebecca and Sarah Elizabeth. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 82 on July 24th, 1933 in Readyville, Cannon, TN. He was buried in Loocke Creek, Readyville, Cannon,TN.General Notes
