Reece (Rees) BOWEN 
Reece (Rees) was born in 1742 in Augusta, Va. Reece (Rees)'s father was John BOWEN and his mother was Lilly MCILHANEY. His paternal grandparents were Moses BOWEN and Rebecca REECE; his maternal grandfather was Henry MC ILHANEY and his maternal grandmother is Mrs. Jane HUNTER. He had seven brothers and six sisters, named John, Henry, Moses, Robert, William, Arthur M, Charles, Nancy Anne, Agnes, Jane Jean, Rebecca, Jean and Mary. He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 38 on October 7th, 1780 in Battle King's Mt, , S.c..
