Rebecca BOWEN 
Rebecca was born in 1740 in Augusta, Va. Rebecca's father was John BOWEN and her mother was Lilly MCILHANEY. Her paternal grandparents were Moses BOWEN and Rebecca REECE; her maternal grandfather was Henry MC ILHANEY and her maternal grandmother is Mrs. Jane HUNTER. She had eight brothers and five sisters, named John, Henry, Moses, Robert, Reece (Rees), William, Arthur M, Charles, Nancy Anne, Agnes, Jane Jean, Jean and Mary. She was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children. She died at the age of 86 in 1826 in Overton, , Tenn. She was buried before 1780.General Notes
